On a Roll

Here is my latest and great card. I made my first shape card. I used a chipboard shape that I bought at Micheal's yesterday in the dollar section (it is from one of those chipboard books). The rest of the stuff was purchase from Micheal's designer studio section it was on clearence!! I spent $20 and got a bunch of cool stuff. These are all part of the Making Memories Sabrina line. I have been eyeing it for awhile and figured I could save myself some money by waiting till it was on clearance.

Which worked out in my favorite this week. It just so happened I needed to go get a gift card and so I had to check the scrapbook section. I saw red sticker here and there so I wandered over to the designer section and all of it was on clearance. Score lol.

Card*A*Licious Challenge 20

The Challenge for Card*a*licious this week is to use Blue, Green and circles. I read on Danielle Flanders Blog that this was the challenge and checked out. I like Challenges. I feel like they make it easier for me at times. I kind like having a starting point. So Being that the challenge was blue and green I knew I had blue and green
birthday paper in my stash somewhere for just this occasion. I found this really cute paper amongst my stuff and set to work. I believe it was from a DCWV seasonal stack that I bought probably a year or more ago. I find that if I buy the seasonal stacks I give my cousins more of it to play with and scrapbook with then I actually use. So I don't buy them too often. Anyway. I used paper scraps cut into strips to create the stripe pattern on the bottom of the card. Then Finished that off with felt ric rac ribbon and self adhesive ribbon from KI memories.
Then I punched out a circle from green paper. Then Stamped the cup cake on to two different papers one patterned and one card stock and pieced them together. Put the cupcake on the circle and decided that was boring so I took out my green and blue ribbons and covered the circle with ribbon and then cut around it to get the extra ribbon off. I also pop doted the cupcake on the ribbon circle and placed that. Then I stamp happy birthday on cardstock in Moonstruck Blue (CTMH) then re stamped it in embossing ink (distress embossing in from Ranger) and embossed using Clear embossing powder (ranger). I then added drops of stickles (ranger) to the sprinkles on the cupcake and some brads (Making Memories) to the sentiment. Pin It Now!

More Gift Card Cards from Sweet Stack

Well I had a few cards left to do from the sweet stack papers. They just needed a little embellishing. They only measure 3 1/2x 4 1/2 so not a whole lot was needed. I finished this one last night sorry the picture is so dark. It must have been kinda dark in the scrapbook room last night.

Cards

well yesterday I took some time to work on some cards. I don't do cards all that often but I was inspired to some. I figure it is a good way to get rid of some paper that I have bought. Cause I have a paper problem and seeing that I'm in the mood to make cards I will put them in a box so when I have birthdays etc I will just have to grab one. These cards are made with paper from the DCWV Sweet stack. They are gift card holders and the idea for them came from Paper Crafts December edition. I think they came out pretty good I have couple more to finish up. Then I'm on to more cards (i think). Pin It Now!
