July card class
This month is the final month for close to my hearts summer catalog. A exciting time to get the last bit of stuff that won't be carried over to the new catalog. I was inspired by another close to my heart consultant and created this cute card using crusin', baker's twine, and glitter buttons. Then I have been wanting to try making my own "puddle" pad so I made a puddle pad using cranberry and creme brûlée reinkers and just stamped our quick card butterfly on white cardstock then added pattern paper and cardstock with cranberry brads.

Altered Cabinet card
I hosted an altered cabinet card swap that was due last week. I had a big week and I'm just getting to swapping them and taking pictures. The following are my creations for the swap. The woman card was inspired by just creating I went with purple because it one of my favorite colors. The male card I was inspired by travel. Mini toothpick flags, plastic die cut of a cruise ship I cut on my cricut then alcohol inks to color. I found it to be an inspiring swap.

This past weekend
As I mentioned my brother got married over the weekend last week. It was a great time had by all. I had a ton of fun dancing and celebrating with my family. The photo above is all the siblings of the bride and groom.
And here is a slightly blurry photo of my "sister" Brandi and I

Stamp class: Super hero
Yesterday was my ctmh stamp class. I have been playing with ideas for the class for about a month and finalized them Monday night. I wanted something that could be used for father's day but at the same time that could be used for any man in the person making it's life or if not for father's day for a birthday or maybe even to be used to say thank you. So I cut "hero" on the cricut using art philosophy (which I mutilated on my gypsy to fit perfectly on the card) the I stamped the cityscape on the letters inked the edges in black and glued them over the patterned papers. I then stamped the super hero from the super powers stamp set in black and colored him in with markers. I popped him up with foam dots. A fairly simple card but it has a lot of pop. This was a paper pack I would have never purchased before the birth of my nephew. As soon as I saw it in my catalog I knew I would purchase it.
The third project was an altered peanut container I just though it was something fun a different and it could cute as part of a gift basket or a simple gift on its own.
I wish I took pictures of the ladies creations I always find it interesting because I give them the time to be creative or to do something on their own. They always surprise me. One of the girls made the card for her boyfriend in boot camp she gave the superhero cameo pants and used the speech bubble stamp and write "some superheros wear capes mine wears combat boots". It makes me smile knowing that she will be sending her man something cute and personal to boost his spirits.

So excited
Well on top of celebrating my little brother's wedding this weekend I got amazing news myself! I got into graduate school!!!!!! I'm looking forward to the challenge, but a little sad that crafting will take a back seat for awhile because studying will be far more important. I of course will make time for it here and there because balance is important. I'm just so excited to be continuing my education! I have a few months before it begins but I can't contain my excitement! I'll be sharing a few photos soon from the wedding! I had so much fun. I danced the night away with my family! It was a lot of smiles and laughs. I'm proud of my little brother and I wish him and his beautiful wife happiness in their new chapter!

Busy, busy, busy
Well I did get to create a little this week, but I'll wait till I finish the second half of the project to share on here. I have been extremely busy the last couple weeks. Happily I have been subbing a lot at the school thanks to end of the year meetings and testing. I LOVE being in the classroom with the kids and in a lot of cases going back and getting to see them again! I finally feel like I'm getting to know the staff at a few schools and I love it when then remember me! It makes me feel excepted! Other then working I have been riding, getting ready for motorcycle events and getting ready for my brother's wedding this weekend. I am getting excited to get dressed up in my pretty new dress and shoes and have my hair and makeup done. I never get gussied up let alone wear a dress! I'll share pictures when I can. I helped with some little details of the wedding which was just enough. I'll share that later too. I want to take pictures of the final product.
Today is my chapter of the red knights annual dinner at americade! I love seeing some familiar faces from convention and spending time with my amazing family. I'm sure I'll have pictures of that to share too. I guess I'm either excited or just used to getting up at 6 am (seeing that I'm writing at 6am). I hope that this finds you well! I promise pictures to come! Enjoy your day!

June stamp club card #1
Well today I sat down after a long of working outside and started putting together the first card for my card class. It's funny how sometimes you get an idea and you still surprise yourself. I knew when I was ordering I wanted to show the ladies our pearl paint and how great it is. I used it in two ways on this card the first I painted a wood badge button with pearl paint tinted with Creme brûlée reinker. Then I used pearl paint and Creme brûlée and water in our spray pen to make my own glimmer mist.
