Punch happy

Like I said yesterday I am a little punch happy.  It was inspired by my recent purchase of the close to my heart 1-1/4 inch circle punch.  The first thing I started doing was punching circles and layering them to create a background like in this card using last month's stamp of the month set.

So of course I got bored of this quickly and started looking on line for other punch inspiration.  I found a cute video which shows you how to create a bunny using circle punches.  All you need is 3 different circle punches in various sizes.  I used the 1-1/4 inch circle punch, a 2 inch circle punch and a 5/8 inch circle punch.  The following video is what I used for inspiration.

Then I got into the Saint Patrick's Day mood.  I bought this cute stamp at Joann's for a dollar that says "Keep Calm and Shamrock on" too cute right?  I had to use my purchase so I remembered I can make Shamrocks out of heart punches! I'm a genius...not really I saw it somewhere else I'm not sure where.  For the stem I used an old CTMH stamp that was a stem.  I stamped it on the opposite side of the paper I was using so I could use it just as a cutting guideline. I think they came out cute.

Finished March little fat book page

I love this guy he came out too cute for words!!! He is more cutesy then I usually do so I feel like he's missing something, but I don't really want to add much more to him. Maybe some stickles a little later. I love my idea to make my own spring, so he bounces around on the page.

A work in progress march Lfb

This little guy is for my green little fat book page swap that I'm hosting this month. I don't have too much in the saint patty's day department surprisingly enough. Only a few pieces of paper and a couple stamps that would work. The fact of the matter is on Saint Patrick's day I love to celebrate/dress up and think of my late grandpa Jim and his family, but I don't really have anyone to send a saint patty's day card. So I don't plan to add to the collection anytime soon. So I went to my cricut cartridge and found the adorable Simply Charmed it has two little leprechauns and a pot of gold. So I cut out one of the leprechauns and put him together then I found Lucky
On the indie art cart. I thought my little friend looked a little flat so I created a spring by myself and hot glued it to the little fat book page and the leprechaun so now he can dance like he should. I would like to do a little more. Thank you for checking in.

March fairy tags

These tags didn't come as easily as my first two months.  But after a lot walking away and hard work I think they came out pretty cute.  I didn't go crazy with them just applied some ink with the blending to the tag and some other papers before diecuting them.  Paper pieced a rainbow, cut the little fairies out from a image sheet, colored their wings a different color that worked a little better with the tags as a whole with Smooch and embossed some shamrocks in white embossing powder.

St Patty's day Twinces

Here are my St. Patty's Day Twincies I did for a Vintage Room Swap.  I wasn't sure I was going to get them done because I was feeling kinda blocked.  I was a little concerned because the images that I orignally printed were kinda being used by other ladies in the group, I ended up scrapping my orignal game plan and went a totally other way.  Of course aside from one.  I really think I like what I came up with.  This project was kind of a break for me to get my mind off things.  Sara's sister Stormy has taken a turn for the worse and most of my day was spend force feeding her a liquid diet.  It is not fun to force feed a ferret.  I have tried ensure and pedilyte softening her food, just water, chicken baby food she is not interested.  I have do to what I have to do to keep her comftable.  I have a bad feeling that with in the next couple days Stormy will pass too.  It makes me cry just thinking about it but there isn't much I can do.  I have give her and Sara a safe and happy home.  I'm not sure how their started but I do that the last part of their lives have been good!

Long time no Scrap

Okay I haven't scrapbooked or blogged in awhile. I recently started to sit down in MY NEW scrapbook room (I just moved) and have been creating some stuff. I couple of pages of my new cat Raven and his brother Smokey(my brother's cat) and some ATCs and LFB pages thanks to my bestie and fellow tree killer Tabithia. SO I figured I would share at least my atcs and lfb pages. I will have to clean up my scrapbook room then take pictures to share.
