Newest addition to the craft room

I mentioned that I got a metal cabinet from Ollie and I was hoping it would work in my craft room so I could get some stuff off the floor well it works perfectly! I have it next to my china cabinet and you can still walk through the room. It is hiding my magazines and some other not so pretty thing that were in baskets set on the floor. This is sooo much better. I'm hoping it will get a new coat of spray paint soon (whenever dad gets around to it), but I'm just happy to have it for the moment!

A little creating and some thinking

The last couple days have been really nice I spent yesterday afternoon thrift and craft shopping with my mom and did some craft shopping today too. Then we can home and crafted the rest of afternoon away. We ended up with the radio on and at one point mom needed to unplug it which made it lose the channel it was on. Mom scanned through the channels and ended up on one that eventually had Delilah. I personally never like her. I spent hour working at the scrapbook store listening to her voice and really didn't like her lol. But tonight that voice put me in a very nice calm place. It made me miss my home away from home. The wonderful ladies that I shared my time with there. The hours of stocking and reorganizing the shelves. The laughter and sometime tear that happened there. And all these thoughts brought on by one voice on the radio.

the last of the Ollie scores

Today was the last day of moving Ollie's stuff out of her old house. I was pretty good aside from a cabinet I have to go back for with my dad. I'm not sure if it will work in the craft room but it's worth a try. If it doesn't work I will let my nephew borrow it to store his toys in. The bird cage is probably one of my favorite scores I was a little disappointed because at first the music box and mechanism that makes the bird work didn't. I came home and play with it for a few more minutes and IT WORKED!!! The bird swings back and forth as the music box plays. I also got a vintage camera to add to my collect. My great grandfather are the most precious to me, but I have a sweet shop for vintage cameras of all kinds. Now I'm slowly trying to find all my finds homes with in the room. Space is getting very limited as far as nick knacks of course that's not going to stop me from going to flea markets or thrift stores looking for something fun and "new". Now I need to go find plate hangers for the plates I did over a month ago. And clean. Maybe I'll craft some to night.

A tea themed card

I made this pretty card for a friend's birthday. I used old k&company that I had been holding on to for a special occasion. All the shapes were cut out from Art Philosophy, a child's year and mother's day banquet. Other supplies white seam binding, distress stickles in worn lipstick and antique linen and distress ink in old paper and vintage photo and an antique button.

Another fun find at Ollie's

Today I found this cool jewelry box at Ollie's house while helping her cleaning out the craft room! I debated on painting it and after looking at it for awhile and my parents yelling at me I decided not to.

Birthday card

I decided to play in the craft room today after putting up a new fence for the goats and wasting an hour or probably more on the computer. I sat at the table looked at magazines and then remember that I could really use some birthday cards. So far this is what I made. I cut the shoe out of my forever young cartridge and the background shape is from art philosophy cartridge I tweaked it with my gypsy. The paper is from making memories I have had it forever!
