I have had this collection of cross stitch looms forever and I have wanted to do something with them. They have been hanging on the wall for at least a year just blank nothing in them. About a week ago a friend gave me a dcwv stack that inspired me to finally do something with them the colors in the stack were perfect and went well with my room, so I started cutting the designs to fit the looms and there was a sheet of tags you could cut out and use as embellishment. I decided to use my favorite Tim holtz quote stamps and stamped a different one on each tag then I started to pull this from my stash. Bits of findings and jewelry reused, some very old scrapbook embellishments I have saved for a special project. Over all them came out pretty cool. It was the perfect distraction from hurricane sandy and my head feeling like its going to explode and my runny nose that sandy has caused. Tomorrow I'm back to getting homework done. And at the moment time for sleep.

Isn't this a beautiful project and It is soooo easy. What I used was the Close to My Heart Mix and Mingle album, Close to my Heart Mayberry Paper Pack, Close to my Heart Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge, Mocha Pearls (CTMH) and Smoothie ink (CTMH). The Mix and Mingle album is awesome its 5 pages of Chipboard and 3 pages of acrylix and the jump rings to attach it together it cost $8.95 and I have seen it used as a mini album, a banner (like mine) and the list goes on and on. Its so fun to play with! I just worked on each page as its own piece of art. I used the cricut to cut shapes out of patterned paper, a 3-d flower and the letters. It looks beautiful hanging in my craft room. Pin It Now!

first beewax creation
Well here it is my first beeswax creation. Tabitha and Elise came over so that Tabitha could teach Elise and I how to use beeswax. I have to say I love it. It is a lot of fun. I have all the stuff aside from the actual beeswax. I love when my dad's rc tools are useful in my craft room. So the theme I went with for my beeswax canvas is domestic diva. I got graphic 45's Domestic diva tabs, buttons, some lace, a couple of medal charms, and a dress pattern. Pin It Now!

Heart art
I bought these cute hearts at micheal's awhile ago not sure what to do with them, but today I pulled them out and started painted with Tim Holtz Distress paint. Then I made a little trip with my gram to Joanne's and got some pretty copper embossing powder to use a long with some new stamps. It took some time but I figured I would drill holes into the hearts and hang them where I plan to put some cute short curtains to hide all my moms "other" craft stuff. I really like how these came out. Pin It Now!

Project complete
Well I put the finishing touches on my canvases this evening. I decided instead of putting a ribbon and hanging each canvas on its own, I instead stapled the ribbon to the bottom of the inspire canvases and stapled that same ribbon to the top of the beauty canvases. I really love how it came out. Click the picture to blow it up and see the details. Pin It Now!
A fruitful night
Well last night was not wasted in my art studio. I completed 2 of 4 mini canvas pieces that I wanted to work on for myself. I kept looking at the mini canvases and thinking I wanted to have each focus on a word that was important to me. Then I painted the four piece a uniform Denim blue (which I'm almost out of). Then I took out my Tim Holtz grunge board letters and punched out inspire laid it on the canvas and it didn't fit. So I had to rethink things. I decided that I wanted to use the Grunge board letters and that I could do one word spilt between two canvases. I really like how it came out. Now I just have to run to micheals for more of the ribbon I was using cause I'm out and get the glue dots I have been putting off getting cause I'm almost out. Enjoy Pin It Now!
