I don't normally publicize my close to my heart stuff on here (other then the cards I make), but this month there are some amazing deals and special stamps, so I'll do one big post for the month.

Close to my heart loves to give back.  We offer the option to donate to operation smile all the time, but when events

 happen like the tornado s in Oklahoma they will typical fins a special way for our customers to help out something they create a special stamp set, but this time we are offering an early release from our fall/winter catalog.  For $2.95 you can give to American red cross which is helping

Card workshops

Over the weekend I completed two of the three card workshops in the Close to my Heart Wishes book (which is now retired).  The first workshop used 4 pieces of card stock and two pieces of pattern paper and 20 blank cards.  In the end I ended up creating 20 cards!  The second workshop took 2 pieces of card stock and 1 piece of pattern paper.  I completed 16 cards for a total of 36 cards.  I love when I can just sit down cut, stamp and glue! Simple and easy!

Some of what been happening

So I haven't posted in forever. I always do that I know, but this is just a quick life update. 

So I passed this semester with flying colors. I'm amazed at how well I did.  I was beyond stressed out but in the long run it was worth it. 

My nephew J-man is getting huge and smart and handsome.  He makes me laugh and makes me crazy but I wouldn't trade him for the world.  

This little guy aka peanut (L-man) was born April 3rd (he shares a birth month with some pretty great people aka me and my great grandpa) and went home just the other day.  I can't wait to watch him grow and learn.  I see amazing things and his future too! 

It hard to believe how quickly life changes one minute my nephews are babies and the next little men ( of course with L-man it will be awhile) but just a blink of an eye. Over a year ago I was subbing a couple times a week I got told no by my first grad school choice. Now I'm back in school full time working 4-5 days a weeks and I feel like I'm actually doing something with myself.  No more bump on a log cleaning/crafting everyday. Don't get me wrong I would love to craft everyday but isn't going to pay the bills. Hello real world I'm glad although it took me a little longer than most I'm finally joining you.  Lot of love to everyone hopefully I will post more this summer.  I'm thinking I'll start doing post on my motorcycle rides and flea markets finds.  Of course I'll share crafting (for my card club and recreation).  I'll post soon! I promise.

Pinkpaislee vintage vogue

This weekend was my first free from the stress of school work of course I planned on going riding but things change. I ended up crafting a little bit every day. It was nice and a tad relaxing. I used my pinkpaislee vintage vogue paper and matching embellishments I got from a box a couple months ago. I have a little bit of the line left, so I'll have to finish it up later.

ahh I hate when I can't find what I'm looking for

So I downloaded all my pictures from my phone on to my computer because well....they take up sooooooo much space and I take like a million pictures of nothing...well not nothing there is my adorable nephews yea that's right I said nephews we welcomed a new little one into the world two week ago now. He share a birth month with me which is always fun.  So anyway back to the pictures I was looking through my photos and can't find the card pictures I was looking for OF COURSE! so its either still on my phone or my ipad so I will have to post from either of those.  But for the moment to 1 take my mind off all my homework that I have to get done and 2 to tide you all over till next post here is my new hair of course its new old hair.  I have had it for over a month or two and have had it trimmed once already, but I think I like it! Some days it drive me nuts but so did my long hair.  Well its back to the grind homework is calling my name...actually I'll probably just watch TV and catch up on facebook for the rest of the night.

Just a quick update

Life is crazy!! School and work have officially consumed my life.  I have been stressed and I think my hair is falling out.  I will hopefully be able to post something crafty soon.  It maybe just school related stuff, but at least I can share something.  I can't wait to be creative for myself....As I'm writing this I just remembered I did make some baby card last weekend, so I will be doing a quick post including them soon.  Keep your eye out.
